HOLY HOUR ADORATION

ROCKY MOUNTAIN HOUSE - ST. MATTHEW CHURCH

TUESDAY - DECEMBER 07, 2021 07.00 PM - 08.00 PM

MASS - 06.30 PM

Take a moment during your busy days to remove yourself once a month from that business of today’s life and come and spend some quality time with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament in St. Matthew Church. Prayer and meditation before our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament are great ways to spend some special time with Jesus. You can ask Him for graces for yourself or for loved ones, reflect on His Word, or just keep Him company silently! Offer your precious time to Him - come for Adoration. Will you spend an hour with Jesus? Will you come?

ANNOUNCEMENT FROM CWL

Another year has quickly come and gone and with the welcome of a new year close at hand CWL National is promoting the theme “Catholic and Living it!”. Throughout the year your CWL executive has continued to hold monthly organizational meetings in order to stay connected with initiatives locally, within our diocesan, provincially and nationally. We circulate the minutes to our members so you are current with decisions and upcoming workshops, meetings and educational opportunities. We thank you CWL members and parish community for your support during Covid in helping us meet our annual Charity commitments.  Your ongoing membership and voice helps us to encourage change and influence decisions. Please stand with us to make a difference that aligns with the teachings of Christ.

CWL Memberships for 2022 are now being taken.

Deadline is December 15, 2021. Fee: $30/year

There are three ways to pay your membership: 1. Blank envelope with your name, address, phone number on it, and the $30 inside – place in the collection basket and clearly mark it for CWL membership. 2. Drop off your $30 at the church office cheque or cash with your name on the envelope. 3. eTransfer to the CWL email cwlrocky@gmail.com for auto deposit into the CWL bank account. Please include your name in the message. ● If you are not a member but would wish to join, please use one of the above methods of payment but we will require your name, address, phone number, and email address and we will be in contact with you within the week. ● If you are transferring from another CWL Council we will require your Membership number to transfer you and retain your years of service.

Please note our CWL has been awarded an adopt a seminarian, Isaac Nibourg whom we share with St. Stephen’s CWL in Olds. In December we will be placing a box for anyone to place a Christmas wish or gift to show our love, support & ongoing prayers.

We’ve all been shaken by the news from Kamloops and the horrific discovery made at the former Kamloops Residential School. It’s reopened old wounds that never really healed, and that are still extremely painful.

Watch this video about our seminarian JD Carmichael

JD Carmichael had his whole life planned out. A great career, a house, and plenty of outdoor hobbies. Watch to find out why it all changed when he felt God was calling him to something more!

Our parish invites you individually or as a family to say the rosary with the help of the internet. "Come Pray the Rosary" is a perpetual rosary that allows people to say the rosary together on the internet. You can join with others and say the rosary in progress, or start it individually by choosing the mystery you want to say. Through this website, you can follow along as the Rosary is recited, with the visual aid of video from the Holy Land. You can literally see the places where the mysteries take place! You also can keep track of how many other people, around the world, are joining you in prayer. By clicking on the number of people praying and then the map, you can actually see the location of those you are praying with on a map. Please check out this great website at http://www.comepraytherosary.org/.
